I own the first one and it is brilliant ( Actually the first is the second because the true first one was a mod before they refined it into a game and sold it ), This one looks just as brilliant, the thing you have to understand is that this is hardcore realism, no other game has anything on this. You would be playing like a 32v32 and your team would have like 2 snipers and around 6 people with assault rifles, one machine gun and the rest with bolt actions. Then it throws in ballistics and heart rate. One hit dying pretty much unless your a lucky man.
Its lots of fun, but freaking hard for CoDers, some BFers would be alright at it.

I've seen the first one so many times and I've been meaning to get it, but I never got around to it. The first (and this) look like so much fun.

Bumped. Release date is set for August 30th.
Price is 40 USD and there'll be dedicated servers, lan support, server admins can use either PB or VAC. Two mods will also be released along with this.
Sounds like a PC game.

WW2 is back! IMMA DEF GET THIS SHIT. But it's a shame BF3 stole Suppression from THIS game. Last *good* WW2 shooter I played was BF1942 (still the best in series) but RO2 is something BF1942 should have been.
Thus --> RO2 FTW

I bought it as soon as it arrived on Steam. Got a 20% discount. Bought the deluxe version. Deluxe shit for the game plus items for TF2 nd KF. Win.
BTW Red Orchestra. The original UT2004 mod. Was back in 2004-5. PR 2006ish I think.
So Suppression thus from RO.

Well it's still a shame. If they wouldn't be complete DICKS towards their customers they'd admit suppression is not their idea. But I guess it won't be happening, BF3 after all is the title that may save EA from deep shit, but it is also a title that could fall the hardest. Red Orchestra 2 has all the keys to be a superior shooter, but due to the higher profile of BF3 it's not going to be. (necessarily)

RO2 will probably be a superior shooter but the average gamer probably doesn't care. RO is a series not like arcadely BF.

Arcadely, Dark my man, that is something I didn't expect from you. It's nothing offensive, I just didn't expect that word to describe a BF game. (well BC2 to certain degree yes)

Just the sniping in RO2 proves how good of a shooter it is. The best sniping Ive ever seen in game. Sure it wont compete with the following of CoD and BF and CS:S (yeah everyone forgets to mention CS:S when comparing but its also the other major competitor) it will be the fourth.

Well, BF is a game with arcadish elements with sorta realism. (Not as bad as COD's arcadish, but to an extent)

I think I get you. It's like Actual Sniping, not sniping...?

If you mean something you can hop in fairly easily and get a quick hang of, then I agree.

Plus, I want to support RO2 because Tripwire is a friendly dev company that likes to dump free dlc and updates on their games and they're PC centered.
Yes, I'd say that BF is way more accessible then RO.

yeah RO is full on realism with everything. RO2 is just another major improvement to the game. yknow this gen graphics, new weapons, new things you can use you weapons (blind fire etc) more maps.
You can sniper with the scope or the iron sight while playing sniper (Cause that is how they were setup in WW2, you could still utilize the iron sight while having a scope attached. Ballistics etc as always. A very good scope moving system with the black.. Eh watch some videos and youll get me.
Also the RO sniper was from my understanding the first sniper to be used as a dynamic scope. (Seeing surroundings if you get me, watch some vids if you don't )
