The infamous DayZ clone/ripoff will be heading into a closed beta on Halloween, that is for standard users who get invited. Not only will the game "eat" your money by having you buy some in game items and lose them when you die, there will be multiple packages available for preorder before the game's release.



Anyone else laugh at the prices? And the more you pay, the more benefits you get, but with the prices, it is ridiculous. This is why I'm sticking with DayZ. It only cost $30 (ArmA 2 version, no clue on retail) and it doesn't suck your money.

I dunno if I'd call it a ripoff since it's by the same people (so I thought?), however I don't like the idea that you lose items that you paid for... :\

Definitely won't be picking this up! I'll wait for ArmA2 to go on sale (lol unlikely) or the standalone DayZ

Nah, War Z is published by Arktos and developed by Hammerpoint, while DayZ is developed by Dean Hall and published by Bohemia Interactive. I doubt arma 2 will go on sale, but I'm glad Dean Hall will keep the ArmA 2 mod version parallel with the standalone release

It'll go on sale eventually.  It was "on sale" during summer; but it was impossible to buy combined operations at the time.

But ahh, I thought it was cause they advertise it on DayZ site and say they're working on it or whatever.  I can't find where I saw that, it was on one of the dayz sites ages ago, and it is how I initially found out about warz.  That being said, if it's not by same people, definitely a ripoff..  I'm surprised they're getting away with that name tbh.

Just going to stay away from that game.. Sounds like ubisoft: "charge full price" and have "micro-transactions" for more money!  uhf.  Nooo thank you ><

This sounds terrible.... I hate these pay 2 win models that pop up in some games. No thanks I'm sticking with DayZ and waiting to see what the DayZ standalone game looks like.

I really think its Retarded, "Pay for items then loose them then pay again" .... that makes me go WOOOOOOOOOuaiuw. Guess  people want to make more  than it sounds like, but it might be and AMAZING game but,  you get benifits wow just play the game for while.I wont be endlessly wasteng money.As u can see im not a fan of WarZ idea thingy
