Every gamer has wanted this option since the release of SSD's and even before that! Steam now offers ( the latest beta build that is) pick and choose location for every game you install via game. You can now install your favorite games on your SSD while keeping those play every now and then games on your 2nd hard drive or ANY location!
This has been a feature that steam has neglected for a while. Numerous third party options have been available for this function for a while however many of those seemed difficult and to much work.
Here you can see from my beta build testing this function out.
This can be found under Settings > Download & Cloud > Click Steam Library Folders
Once you have done that you can click "Add Library Folder" Whch will render this once you have selected a new folder. For my test I selected a folder on my SSD. ( my steam and all of its games currently are installed via my 2nd HDD)
Finally once you have set this up when you go to install a game you will now be promoted with a location selection for the game you wish to install!
This can be found in the latest live beta build for steam. You can Opt into the beta and try this and other cool new functions like steam "Big Picture" today by going to your settings and change your beta participation!
What are your thoughts? I know i am very pleased of finally seeing such a simple function now ready to be rolled out on steam that will be very handy to PC gamer enthusiasts and anyone alike.
