This is a pretty fun update for l4d2, imo! We get 5 campaigns (from l4d1 and community): Crash Course, Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest, and Cold Stream. Each map from the campaigns has had updates to it, all of which you can read in patch information (
http://store.steampowered.com/news/8459/). Plus all mutations are now available from the main menu!
Then! We have the news that l4d2 is coming to linux (for any of you linux users out there). It is one of Valve's FIRST linux games, and you can keep to date about it on their linux blog (
http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/linux/).
And finally, we have l4d2 & minecraft. For those of you who have minecraft on the 360, next month all of the survivors will be available for minecraft on the 360. (I'm sure the skins can be found somewhere for pc). More interestingly, we have the community campaign: Deathcrap II. Just download the vpk (
http://media.steampowered.com/apps/l4d2/maps/deathcraft-ii.vpk)(1gb download), and move to your addon directory and you'll be able to play the next time you launch the game! Plus, since thiscampaign is featured, the map will be available on official dedicated servers. For more information and details on how to install Deathcraft II, look
here.
And, to top it all off, L4D2 is on sale for a few more days at 75% off. You can buy it on steam ofc (
http://store.steampowered.com/app/550/) and read up on the update patch
here, and everything I've mentioned
here.
