I have bad news for all of the PS2 fans. GameStop has announced that they will be pulling PS2 games off of their shelves in order to make room for the Wii U. The senior vice president of Gamestop, Mike Dzura, says that he will leave PS2 on the shelves for stores where PS2 games sell good. He will pull the PS2 games from stores where PS2 game sales have decreased. Also, coast states will be removing PS2 games. A sad day in gaming history, seeing as the PS2 is the most successful selling console, and it still has games being made for it to this day. Do you guys think this is a smart part on GameStop's end? Or should they keep PS2 and replace something else?

It is pretty much my only reason to go into gamestop now days ( 

Also stupid on their part completely.  Ps2 section is in middle of floor... and just... not really going to make WALL ROOM... and stuff.  I don't think ps2 has any new games made for it, I thought the last game was made last year or so.. but still.. they were making games for ps2 looooong long after the ps3/360/wii had been out and selling them fine! 

good thing the store 2nd and Charles is directly across from the gamestop I go to. That place has everythings from nes and up.

My PS2 broke anyways. I was gonna buy a new one and and then this, but oh well   They could do that with the PS2 games or remove the old Gamecube ones and put the PS2 ones there. I don't think all Gamestops have the Gamecube section but they do where I live.

Supply and demand.... If they aren't making a profit on ps2 games why have them take up space? I'm sure they will be sold online but just not in stores.  There plenty of retro gaming stores around if you just look for them.  There are always other options.

Thing is is that they make a great amount of money off of PS2 games in certain places. So it's pretty unusual for them to pull them

Retro stores would be coool... if they sold at a decent price. >< Super mario world for 30$++??? I can get on ebay for 3$ :\,,, for 20 I could get it with the box and manual! and all they have is the damn cartridge!

I am sure many people still buy ps2 games....  I think they should keep them up. :\ KEEP THEM UP

I don't know what store you go to but my Retro store sells em for like 10-15 bucks. Apparently they have a ton sitting in a warehouse
