If you check the news on your steam client daily, you'll see that we have a snazzy update where we can download any game remotely! From either the website (in case you're on a different pc from the one at home!) or the mobile app! Apparently if you purchase a game it will also ask if you'd like to have it downloaded on your computer. So buy a game at work, or school, and come home and be ready to play!
Here's what it says in the update:
A Steam client update is now available. To apply the update, click the Steam menu inside of Steam and then select "Check for Steam Client Updates...". The specific changes include:
- Remote management of your games library through the web or mobile device
- Added UI to redeem Steam wallet vouchers sold by GameStop
- Fixed download issues with new content system
- Fixed crashes related to Steam Workshop file management
And here's some images from the website and the mobile app! If you're curious as to where to go to start the downloads, go to your steam page then your games. You'll be able to look through the games and start downloads there
