Claptrap has written us all a steamy
love letter about how he wants us, all...
bad. In the letter he talks about all the stuff that will be in
Borderlands 2 for the pc. While all of this used to be standard in pc games, we live in the time of console ports... Where this so called "standard" has disappeared, and buggy console ports exist. However, it is nice to hear all of this, to see that they want to fix issues that were prevalent in the first game and so many other console ports. It is a great way for them to attract customers, hopefully they'll keep with it. Here are the things we can expect to see in the pc version of Borderlands 2:
- FOV Slider
- 100% Mouse usable menus/mouse wheel scrolling
- Remappable keybindings for keyboard/mouse
- PC specific UI
- Push to talk
- Native multiplayer matchmaking
- Logitech keyboard support
- LAN support (including offline mode)
- Control pad support
- Integrated V-Sync option
- Support for higher resolutions
- Mouse smoothing options (that can be disabled completely)
- Cloud save support
- Achievement Support
- Friends list support
- No port forwarding required
Again, I think it is nice to know that they're trying to fix what pc gamers complained about in the first one. Although these really should be standard in all modern day pc games, it sadly isn't. I look forward to Borderlands 2, and anything else they may work with for the pc version!
Oh, and you can read the letter
here! It is worth giving a look over.
