Alright, this is much less of a news post then a discussion about the Battlefield 3 open beta. I tried it out for only a couple of minutes on the PS3. I had pretty buggy audio, where voice and the in-game music/sound effects didn't sync together very well. In fact, they ended up distorting each other and cutting out. I have yet to try it out on the 360, but from what I've heard it's buggy as all hell. According to the PC specs, there's no way in hell that my laptop will even be able to attempt to run BF3...

Anybody attempt to run the beast of a game on their PC and do so successfully?

Is it as buggy for everyone else as it was for me?

From what I can see, Battlefield 3 still needs a lot of work. It's an absolutely gorgeous game (at least on the PS3), but god hell. The audio bugs were absolutely annoying. It looks like EA and DiCE kind of screwed this one up a bit by trying to leapfrog Modern Warfare 3 with the release date. Better they hold the game for a few weeks and try to fix everything up before launch.

I want to hear all your input!

Examples of glitches (hilarity, be advised):

I've played about 4 hours on the PC. And I'm loving the beta/game. I think it is amazing! I have been experiencing a few bugs here and there, but nothing too serious. And overall, I can't wait for the full game to come out.
I would just really have wished that they had more maps in the beta, maybe Caspian Border servers open to everyone? Would have been very nice.

The beta is fun, needs polish, but its a gorgeous shooter with some of the best audio sounds I've ever heard.

Be advised......Over

Alpha only had an LAV-25 on Operation Metro but it made the map too easy for people to take Mcoms with a good Driver so they took it out of the map... Other maps will still have a vehicle or 2.

It doesn't help that the Beta we are experiencing is a 2 to 3 month old build, All thanks to Licencing issues with the Console brands, The Newer Builds weren't ready for processing by Sony and Microsoft so they had to go with an older build. EA and DICE have already said that about 80% of the reported bugs and exploits have already been patched on the new build they just can't release the newer version.

Now that they've disabled the Terrain Destruction we aren't experiencing clipping through the map anymore but we still have others like being able to shoot anything through rocks at a close range which in turn will make whatever you shot clip through the entire map to its intended target (Side from any RPG that is, Tubes still work though) until it re-enters the map

Other glitches are Minor Sound gltches that will replay when someone dies at just the right time the only time I've experienced the sound glitch that you explained was with the M26 Mass, The sound will static when you fire it and the Firing animation will constantly repeat at about 5 times the regular fire rate. Other then that and a few model glitches like the Brontosaurus glitch that can be see in Darks Funny Glitches | Battlefield 3 Beta video or in the video you posted as well as People running like they have a stick in their ass and an Invisible model glitch that will show you the last place the person died at which has a dead body  and a gun sticking out of its chest (Which is funny cause if you run to that area and shoot the dead body even if the guy is no where around he'll die) The game is hardly buggy at all. Can't wait for the final product.

There is this one glitch I saw on youtube dubbed "The Shark Attack". Your enemy (usually 1 person) is stuck in the ground with only a part of his/her body sticking out. They are hard to hit also.

I don't know... doesn't do to make it an open beta and distribute a buggy release of the game. -_-

How do you mean. I read today that alot of changes has been made to the game. Like the sounds etc. Alot of the changes were going to make to game more fun to play.

You do know that the open beta build is about 1-2 months old?

That's exactly what I'm saying. The open beta is a majority of people's first glance into Battlefield 3. It's not exactly a good marketing strategy to release a buggy build of the game.
