This is so awesome, feels so professional, I hope I can get into the next podcast.

Couple of pointers you guys, Valve and Steam are the same thing, Steam is a platform developed by Valve to sell their products, which in turn is now tied up with major distributors such as EA, Rock star and Bethesda and others. Same company, different subsidiaries.

The prices on EA and Steam have a huge difference, because EA also sells game on digital for the local price, say a game is USD $59.99 on Steam, that is like Rs 3000/- in my local currency. EA sells it for the local price which should not exceed Rs 999/- which is about USD $19.98, the difference is gargantual and this is one reason why I bought some games on EADM/Origin instead of getting them on Steam. Because the retail is similar to the digital and I can take my digital games anywhere I want. I make backup's on my 500GB portable HDD and log on on any computer using my i.d and password.

They did that with BF3, make it available first on Origin, I should know, I pre-ordered the game the very first day it was available for pre-order, BF3 will be available on Steam after the BETA.

I tried a trick once where I pre-ordered BF3 for a friend who lives in Australia, used his I.D and Password to log on and pre-ordered and logged out, he got the game and it now shows up on his Origin account as "Unreleased"

There's more I want to say, but....nevermind. I need to eat something, I'm getting dizzy.

Ah. Yeah. Ojler did mention that the other day. I can see the benefit of using Origin if you're not an American gamer then, or if you're in a place where the currency exchange is significantly different from the dollar. Hm, that's an issue that Steam is going to have to fix, unless it's at a certain fixed agreement with other publishers. K1eaner, does Valve sell their games on Steam for local price or for the exchange rate price?

Im from NZ and a pay exchange rate price. Which is good, it saves me shitloads of money on steam. I buy new games for 70NZD instead of 120NZD. Except for CoD Series, Activision has there grasp on making me pay on steam what I pay in a store here. They are the only publisher on steam that does that for me.

They sell the games in USD and they are $4/- cheaper then the price in America. Not much of a difference, all new games are sold for the same price all across the globe in USD price which is same as in the US. The $4/- knock off is only on sales and specials.

The sales are also partial, I mean, if a game goes on sale, they knock off a few dollars more for us then they do for US and Europe, I think its because of the Foreign Exchange, but yeah.

That and Steam has some of the most awesome sales, for me anyway, when I convert to my currency I save 75% on Steam(because of sale) and when price is compared to local price of retail copy, I save another 75% from the local price.

Could use her as a voice talent for one of your video commentary's. I was amazed when I heard her, well I was half asleep and was ranting but she's good.
