I'm still here and all, but I doubt I'll be playing on the server much anymore. You CAN whitelist me, but school is taking up most of my time nowadays and plus I got a part-time job to pay for my car plus some Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I may occasionally get on to see what everyone's up to but no promises I'll be playing that much.  Undecided
Glad to see you around still killa Smiley whats your MC ill add you to the white list just in case Smiley)
It's "KillaCode1" if I remember. Thanks by the way for the whitelist!

I could try out your server sometime Wave if I get some free time. Junior year is starting soon so I need to focus on school right now but I can get into it eventually.  Tongue

If you manage to update the minecraft server Killjoy, I will get some friends to play it. I made a few new ones who play minecraft and some PC games. I'd gladly get back into minecraft with PUG if it was updated.

Hi Michael! Welcome to PUG! Hope to see you around here sometimes, even though it is moving a bit too slow at the moment. If I ever play LoL, then I guess here would be the first place to find someone to play with. Tongue

Kinect and Game News this time

So the Kinect 2.0 is coming to PC. No need to rub your eyes, yes, you read that correctly. Microsoft (specifically Ben Kilgore) said that the Kinect would be made to work with PCs and would be that the Kinect would be released for the platforms "...at some point down the line". In other news, the Kinect will also be on 24/7. I think this isn't a good thing a lot of the time. For starters, a friend of mine who is hell-bent on buying an Xbox One, would suffer from me being at his house. Remember when I said that the Kinect has voice commands? That's exactly why he'll suffer. At any time, I could say any command to the Xbox and it would do it, unless it has voice recognition. He'd be playing Forza 5 (confirmed for Xbox One at E3) and I could say "Xbox, go home" and then the Xbox would go to the home menu. The fact that Skype can happen anytime too (all someone has to do is tell the Xbox to call a specific person) is a real big problem. You could be doing your own thing, cleaning whilst listening in music, watching TV on your Xbox, watching a movie, etc. and a friend would call you and interrupt whatever you were doing. Of course, you could probably go Offline like you could on the 360, but that barely changes the fact that your friend can interrupt your stuff and just stare at you through his lousily placed Kinect module-thingy.

Now for the games (hurrah!) During the reveal, Microsoft only showed a trailer for Forza and a trailer for Caw-a-Doody (Call of Duty) but that was about it. They said after the reveal that more would be shown at E3. I have done some scrounging around on the Interwebz and found the webpage for games shown at E3. Ignoring handhelds, there are so far: 17 games for the Xbox One, 25 games for the PS4, 32 games for the Xbox 360, 57 games for the PS3, 22 games for the WiiU (including Smash Bros. 4 Cheesy ) and over 60+ for the PC.

Back with new information. Microsoft said in a Q&A that there will be no fee to play games at other people's house. You still have to install the game, but you won't have to pay to play. You can still have friends borrow the game and such, as long as you still have the physical copy of the game kept when you install it on the hard drive, your friends can still play the game if they are able to sign in to your Xbox LIVE account. The used games thing is hazy though. Microsoft did not clarify that you had to pay for used games. They only specified The no backwards capability seems to be true though, as stated in the Q&A.

EDIT ON NEW COD ENGINE: This basically has something to do with the end your comment Taylynne. So I was browsing /v/ and I came across a thread that linked me to a specific article that caught my attention. The article is basically an interview with Zack Volker, lead animator at Infinity Ward, and he states this, “When we’re talking about a new engine we’re talking about upgrading significant systems within in that engine. We’re not talking about throwing it all away and saying we’re starting from the ground up.....impossible to develop a new engine from the ground up in a two year cycle”. Everyone probably of course knew that the Call of Duty franchise uses the same engine over and over again with new add on's, but here's proof that they do.

What do you guys think about the Xbox One? I think it's gonna flop. They focused on mainly voice commands and Call of Duty. I seriously think that this is gonna be the end of the Xbox. The Wii-U hasn't sold that much of anything recently so that's out of the running for a good next-gen console. The PS4 is looking promising, compared to the Xbox One's presentation. The Xbox One seems to just focus on multimedia and not gaming, as the previous Xbox's were made for. A wrong choice they made was to have no backwards capability, but the thing that made me angry was when I read that you have to pay for used games. I know, PC gaming top-tier and there's no used games, I'm about to be a PC gamer myself this time, gonna have a $300+ PC that can run Skyrim at 720p at 30 FPS, but that has nothing to do with this, we're talking about consoles here. Okay, let's talk about the main features.

The Xbox One seems to focus on TV and voice commands right now. Microsoft said that the gaming portion would be announced at E3, but they could've still shown more than that crap new Call of Duty game trailer. There are too many voice commands for TV, music, etc. The fact is that they (Microsoft) seem to be less oriented on gaming now and seems to be leaning towards a family friendly home movie system. Kinect is something that's gonna be ruined again, nuff' said. The fact that you still have to pay for used games (as I said earlier) really gets to me. Someone who can't really afford that much stuff due to living in a poor city with not that many job openings, like me sometimes, can only really afford used games once they go down. If I were to buy this console (which I won't) and my friend wanted to be able to borrow a new Tales game or some random Xbox game I'd own, he'd wouldn't be able to without paying an unspecified price. No backwards capability makes rooms more cluttered due to the amount of consoles you'd need to put away/have out. My room is cluttered with 2 Gamecubes, 2 Wii's, a PS3, and my PC. An Xbox VHS would just make it more crowded. When a friend of mine stays the night, he has to put his Xbox 360 on the floor due to not having any room to put it, so if I were to buy this new console and put it on the floor, where would his Xbox go? I'm going to buy the PS4 when it comes out (I'll have moved by then and have a bigger room) and get a Wii-U sometime later for Smash Bros. 4, Pikmin 3, and Wind Waker HD, while having a gaming PC. If they had shown some stuff about games instead of focusing on TV or Call of Duty, they probably would've gotten a slightly (I'd say a 1.3%) more positive view on the console itself. I'm not buying this console ever, and anyone who does for gaming itself, no, for anything related to liking this, should have their console burned while they lie tied up and forced to watch. Even if Banjo-Threeie comes out on the system, I won't buy it. Sony better have it right when it comes down to E3 or else next-gen console gaming is finished.

Those are my thoughts on the Xbox One. tl;dr I hate this new console and I won't buy it.

13  Gaming / Other Gaming / Anyone play Maplestory? on: April 07, 2013, 04:40:03 PM
I was just wondering if anyone else here plays the game Maplestory? I know of no people that play the game and only had 2 of my real life friends try the game. One quit and the other forgot his login password. Just wondering if anyone here plays it, or at least tried it once before. If you do manage to play it, there's a world called Windia, that's where I play, usually in Channel's 16 or 19 because I hate communicating with people besides ones I know.

Hi Killjoy, when will you probably get the server updated and online again?

as soon as someone shows real interest in it again ><  technically its online now and has been for over 3 months 24/7 ><  Just needs to be updated!
I'm interested in it. I've been waiting for it to be updated for a while. Minecraft is one of the few games I could play on here.

Ehh, I got bored of it after a while. I beat it a bunch with my friends and there was nothing else to do. Mercenaries got boring and the story was also boring since I remember the puzzles and weaknesses of enemies. If there is any other campaigns added at a later date, similar to what they did with RE5, I might re-buy.

Chris: Friends favorite campaign due to military, easiest one to complete, enemies provide a unique challenge.
Leon: Had some fun jump scares, enemies were also unique but they were all slow moving, even for zombies.
Jake: Same stuff everytime, run away from the giant monster hurr durr.
Ada: Pretty fun and unique playstyle, only one I really enjoyed.

Me and one of my friends always played Leon's however, we made a little joke about the call function when you are at a door and can call for a teammate. Leon shouts Helena's name at the top of his lungs and me and my friend mocked it in school. But yea, the game got boring after a few playthroughs.

I sold my game for Bioshock 1&2 about 2 months ago. Some people might still play it.

EDITED: Fixed the latter sentence.

They still have some colors but y'know, it's Nintendo.  Tongue I need to buy a 3DS. Mainly (and really only) for this and Fire Emblem: Awakening.
