Resident Evil 6 - General Talk
I made this thread for everyone to talk about RE6 however/whenever they want. I was also wondering, how do you guys think of the game? I just recently beat Leon's campaign (with a whopping 4-5 hours) and I'm almost done with Chris'. What do you all think of this game? I find it almost perfect. The only problem I have is the inventory system. I'm always in need of herbs and I at least have about 2-4 health tablets left over after I'm halfway through the chapter. Anyways, give us your feedback on the game and how you liked it (or disliked it).

I've heard a lot of this.  I would love to see it on pc real soon but I figure it won't be out for half a year or so.. We have it on ps3 tho, I've watched my brother play some as well..

It looks great though! I really like the idea of playing as a zombie to stop people!  And I always enjoy mercenaries.. I wish hunk was back for some of that though.. I always played him and krauser on resident evil 4!  I'll probably end up playing mercenaries to no end once it is on pc.  I really enjoyed the re5 mercenaries, where you worked with another against a team of two (whom you could attack and kill, and vice versa)....

Have you tried predator mode?

Also, what the hell is up with microsoft buying out all the publishers to get dlc before anyone else?! >< so annoying.

I have it for PS3 also, maybe we could play together sometime? I think you're still on my friends list, if not, add XxKillaCode1xX (I hate the X's for the pre and meta fixes, had this Playstation account for years on end). We could do the campaigns or mercenaries together, just for fun!

I don't trust games based on reviews I see and hear. I'd recommend buying it (kinda like a review here) because it has the old Resident Evil feel to it in Leon's story. Chris' story is like RE5 gameplay. I have yet to try Jake's story though.  Tongue

I wouldn't listen to the reviews tbh.  I am sure a lot of people are complaining about the dlc.. which to me is just silly.  The dlc is not single player (that I know of), not to mention the game already has a lot to do.. 4 campaigns, mercs, predator mode, etc.

If you're hesitant, but played and enjoyed the fifth one, definitely get it.  But as Killacode said, Leon's campaign is more similar to the classics.  Jake's looked similar to Leon's, but I haven't played it to say it was like the originals as well.

But yeah that sounds good, I haven't been on the ps3 in months... I'll have to figure out my password and all too lol

Please ignore every review written about the game. It's not as horrible as most reviews make it out to be. I have beaten every story line including Ada Wong's and would def give this game a 7. It isn't perfect but I definitely had a lot of fun playing it. One of the only huge issues I could find is that ammo seems to never spawn when you need it the most.  For example during one boss fight in Ada's story you will run out off ammo and have to farm it from things that hit you with acid when they die... thank god it only takes half a cube from you so you can regen but its super annoying and wastes a lot of time.  If you are an RE fan def grab this game because of the nostalgia factor, you will feel super nostalgic for RE2.  Just don't go into this game comparing it to the old resident evil games.  It does control a lot better than RE5 and has a much longer amount of playtime. BUY IT! GO DO IT NOW!

btw i have it on Xbox 360 if anyone needs help playing through the game or wants to S rank mercenaries with me.

I am a fan of Resident evil so I guess it would be biased if I would post a review on it. I like it a lot same as the others. Smiley

I sold my game for Bioshock 1&2 about 2 months ago. Some people might still play it.

EDITED: Fixed the latter sentence.

Ehh, I got bored of it after a while. I beat it a bunch with my friends and there was nothing else to do. Mercenaries got boring and the story was also boring since I remember the puzzles and weaknesses of enemies. If there is any other campaigns added at a later date, similar to what they did with RE5, I might re-buy.

Chris: Friends favorite campaign due to military, easiest one to complete, enemies provide a unique challenge.
Leon: Had some fun jump scares, enemies were also unique but they were all slow moving, even for zombies.
Jake: Same stuff everytime, run away from the giant monster hurr durr.
Ada: Pretty fun and unique playstyle, only one I really enjoyed.

Me and one of my friends always played Leon's however, we made a little joke about the call function when you are at a door and can call for a teammate. Leon shouts Helena's name at the top of his lungs and me and my friend mocked it in school. But yea, the game got boring after a few playthroughs.
