Isnt all the positions filled?

Hope not, I could use a job in the gaming industry, dont even have to pay me,  PUG Gaming can send the games through an "open" Steam/EADM/D2D account and I can review them from here. Provided I get the job.
I don't think PugGaming can be considered a "gaming industry" type thing...
Yes we are. We would be the ideal starting ground to get starting in the Gaming Industry. We have big plans planned.
It is? I figured it would have to be completely different than a community to be considered an industry. Something more along the lines of GameStop or something utterly massive, I dunno.

Lol GameStop buys and sells games. Thats is. PugGaming is here to get involved with the gaming we do. Reviews, technical specs and much more. Go into a game stop and ask them what the 11 killstreak is on mw2 or whats most played map is for tf2 or css.

Gamestop is NOT part of the field. its a RETAIL job. PugGaming is in the field hands on. With interviews with devs and much more lined up.

Aye, but usually the employees know a lot about games. I doubt many people anywhere would know the most played map in anything, but I'm sure most gamers can tell you the killstreak for MW2. I just figured the best first step in the "gaming industry" would be GameStop, seeing as if you're searching for a job as, say, a Tester, the employer will know about GameStop where as they most likely won't know about PugGaming.

Again i will say it nice and clear.

Gamestop is a RETAIL job. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retailing

PugGaming is hands on in field with the Gaming World.

I can promise you a resume listed as Gaming Reviewer for PugGaming in which you list you reviewed games talked to devs etc and listed what you did would go A LOT better than working the same time at a RETAIL Gamestop.

Gamestop has ZERO hands on with Gaming. Its again. Simply buying and selling games.

Gamestop is more for consoles anyway.  Purely because they buy and sell used (and new) and pc games don't work that way, not to mention a lot of people buy games digitally for pc.

I would think starting out here would help a lot, a big place isn't necessary.  If you have examples of your work (like reviews) and can get a good reference then it probably would look a lot better than working at gamestop.  If you're looking for a job to test games or reviews, gamestop is mainly retail.  Of course they know things about the games, why hire someone who doesn't know shit (looks bad on them) and why work somewhere you have no experience at all. Some places here just hire a girl jsut so the guys would have a pretty face to gawk at. Most of them don't know jack about the store they work other than that they just  call someone to help the customer. Sad, but true.

aw that sucks Sad  but I can see that happening, completely liable.  We do that for a lot of things, for games and tv shows movies and so on.  The gamestop in my town has a girl working there but she actually knows shit about games, and the person who runs it is a girl as well, she's pretty srs bzn gamer.

I think that's the problem, we underestimate girl gamers, but when we findd them they tend to be driven away by the fanboys who ask them the three important questions (1. Are you single? 2. What's your game id? 3. Wanna hook up?) I'm not really surprise some girls don't say they are girl gamers online as it causes way to much drama between the guys, and those who are open about it tend to be with a certain crew at all times so they have some security.

I think I understand, or maybe not, yes because you need people to help with making PUG Gaming grow, no because you cannot afford to pay them as PUG Gaming isn't that big in terms of an organization. Its relatively small and as such require more of volunteer work from friends and the community.

I may be right or may not be.

You are wrong in why i said No. I said no due to all positions i currently have listed on the Job App have been filled however if you have been following close we are doing Gaming Managers and Podcasters next week or so.

We also may soon open up for more written game reviewers.

I would like to apply for the game reviewer and Podcaster, I'm not sure if I'm Game Manager material.

If you need me to, I can try to help with some of that. I should be a last choice for that stuff, but hey, it's the thought that counts. I'm more of a programming / IT nerd than anything. Need me to program something? If I don't know how to I can learn how to and do it in under a week. Need me to help fix your PC? Can do that within minutes. lawl.
