TF2 and CS:S Tournament by PugGaming / x10gaming

CS:S and TF2 Tournament!

We will be hosting a week long event with TF2 and CS:S. Will begin this coming week on monday and end that saturday. During this time we will be handing out some Beta codes to x10gaming's service.

I need feedback on how the TF2 side should be ran and played. Please if you have any concerns on this check out the main posting for this tournament here http://puggaming.net/event-discussion/counter-strike-source-and-tf2-tournament/ and let us know!

Podcast

those who are following our podcast may know we have moved our podcast date to a flex schedule meaning we will be recording and doing our live podcast between Fridays and Mondays. This gives us time to get ideas ready and also helps us all be on at a time to do so. The goal behind the flexible schedule is to suit a good time where everyone can be one each week.

Podcast details to listen to past podcast and more.

PugGaming toolbar

We are still encouraging everyone to download our toolbar to stay up to date on the latest events and have a quick navigation to everything PugGaming

Download toolbar here : http://bit.ly/mmgQ6u
More information on the toolbar : http://puggaming.net/off-topic/operation-ar/

June Top Poster

We will be doing the June Top Poster drawing in combination of July's. If the same people are qualified for both months we will have a 2x prize for the winner.

i just downloaded the toolbar it looks pretty nice and the TF2 tourney should be like in scrims (i think anyways watch this vid on some competitive play
eXtv: Intro to Competitive TF2
)

these rules on classes:
The following class restrictions apply in the ozfl6's:

    Medic: Maximum of one (1)
    Demoman: Maximum of one (1)
    Heavy: Maximum of one (1)
    Engineer: Maximum of one (1)
    Spy: Maximum of one (1)
    Scout: Maximum of two (2)
    Sniper: Maximum of two (2)
    Soldier: Maximum of two (2)
    Pyro: Maximum of two (2)

These must be enforced using the tf_tournament_classlimit_X commands. The full listing of these can be found in the official ozfl configs(coming soon).

and this list on wepons used http://www.ozfortress.com/showthread.php?t=40914

ofc this is if we are doing it on CP maps

Im aware of how competitive play works. The only downfall with this is teams would have to sign up then would need to be scheduled a time to play for what we are doing 2 games in 1 it would be easier to just have a pub server up with a password ( lol double negative?) and allow players to come in and "compete"

As far as the configs go i may set the configs to those and still run it as planned. Thank you for the feedback we will keep looking into best way of doing this until Sunday night!

CTF maps are terrible for competitive play. Not to mention 2fort is just going to be full of snipers. If you're going to do a TF2 tourney you're far better off using 5CP maps like Badlands or Granary, or KOTH maps like Nucleus.

Server will be 24/7 therefore should be no reason no one to hop in and have some fun!

I know a obvious reason, it will be hosted in US = lag for us, non US.
I will def try and see how much lag. But will prolly not play that much due to lag.
But if it somehow wouldn't lag. It would be amazing.
But good luck to everyone!
