Note: I will be posting all updates here.

I'll also be posting everything on my Twitter for today's conferences: http://twitter.com/#!/BlackjackCF

Watch all the E3 conferences live on Hulu!

Summary:

The Microsoft Conference of E3 2011 revealed nothing mindblowing. Everything that they had announced had already been shown or leaked to large gaming magazines/sites. They opened up strong with a lot of great games, but excitement dropped off towards the end when they began showing games such as Disneyland Adventures. Otherwise, the only ending thing that really was something was Halo 4. Not really surprising considering how much of a hit it was, but... whatever happened to "this is going to be the last Halo game?"

Most exciting news/games showcased:
- Modern Warfare 3
- Lara Croft
- Mass Effect 3
- Gears of War 3
- Minecraft on Kinect
- Star Wars
- Ryse
- Fable: The Journey
- Halo: Combat Evolved re-done
- Youtube/Hulu/Bing/Live TV
- Halo 4

Update:

10:57 AM - Kinect is going to be the best selling console in the world. Yay. As the conference closes, we get a preview of a new Halo game. HALO 4.... they also said it was going to be a new trilogy. Expect 3 more Halo games, folks.

10:55 AM - Dammit. You actually have to dance for Kinect's Dance Central 2.

10:48 AM - Kinect Sports Season 2 looks like a fun little game to have.

10:46 AM - Kinect + finger tracking = awesome indeed. Fingertracking allows you to draw in 3D space

10:44 AM - Kudo Tsunoda announces people scanning on Kinect - no more avatars. It actually looks really accurate.

10:38 AM - D'aw. It's kids' hour. Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster is announced.

10:34 AM - Star Wars is hitting Kinect. Featuring pod racing, wielding a light saber and more... but the fighting looks a little awkward.

10:30 AM - Disneyland Adventures and Kinect are partnering so that you can access a virtual Disneyland on Xbox.

10:28 AM - Phil Spencer returns to the stage to announce that Minecraft is going to make its console debut on Kinect.

10:24 AM -Next Fable announced. Preview shows that you can cast spells with Kinect motion.

10:22 AM - Forza Motorsports 4 announced.

10:20 AM - Microsoft announces that Halo: Combat Evolved is going to be re-done for Xbox live.

10:18 AM - Crytek shows epic trailer to a first person action game set in Rome called Ryse, featuring a Roman warrior.

10:14 AM - Cliff Bleszinski brings Ice-T onstage to play Gears of War 3 and show off Gears of War 3

10:10 AM - Microsoft's Phil Spencer introduces a huge line of games that all will have Kinect support. Next up: Gears of War 3.

10:08 AM - UFC president Dana White announces new UFC events with Xbox live. From what I can tell you can look up stats and watch UFC on live.

10:04 AM - Marc Whitten of Xbox live talks about voice recognition. Youtube is going on Xbox live. You can use Bing to find what you want and what you need... through your voice. Live TV comes to Xbox.

9:57 AM - Yves Guillemot, head of Ubisoft hits the stage to announce Kinect support for Ghost Recon. They're showing the flexibility of weapon customization, which can be done through voice recognition or movement. Coolest thing... "optimize for close combat"... and you end up with a gun that's suited for the mission.

9:56 AM - Cool little freeze frame trailer  reminiscent of that season opener of CSI where everything's going down... and it's all frozen.

9:54 AM - VERY COOL. Mass Effect 3 dialogue options can be chosen through voice! And... even cooler. You can give squad commands through voice! It looks very smooth. No voice recognition problems as of yet that I can see. Not too many gameplay details revealed, I'm afraid.

9:51 AM - CEO of Bioware Dr. Ray Muzyka hits the stage to present Mass Effect 3 and confirm that it will have Kinect support.

9:50 AM - President of EA Sports Peter Moore hits the stage to present Tiger PGA, FIFA, Madden NFL, and another. They all will have Kinect support.

9:43 AM - Preview of the new Lara Croft. She is shipwrecked and needs to escape. This isn't the confident Lara Croft that we knew. She's young, frightened, and vulnerable. This game isn't afraid to show a little blood. She's wounded in some dimly lit cave littered with bodies of whom I'm presuming is her crew. She's fleeing from some enemies, but she's armed only with a torch. Launching 2012.

9:30 AM - Microsoft's conference kicks off and shows off preview of MW3, which features an aquatic level and a view of the United States being invaded. Gameplay looks epic!

No. I'm in LA though, just livestreaming the event. Hopefully I can attend next year as they're hosting the conferences this year in my university's Galen Center.

Unfortunately I won't be able to do it tomorrow due to work... so if anyone is willing to step up to post just a few updates to at least cover Nintendo's conference, I'd really appreciate it. (Thanks to K1eaner who has already offered to help, but if anybody else is interested that would be really nice too.)

Microsoft and Sony are really hitting it hard on their motion controllers... just because Nintendo is coming out with something new and leaving them in the dust.
