Dead Island is one of the most anticipated titles for summer 2011 and features survivors on Palm Resort on the fictional island of Banoi during a zombie outbreak. It's supposed to feature a mixture of FPS and RPG elements along with a multi-layered damage system on the zombies.

Dead Island publisher Deep Silver is announcing a pre-order deal for Dead Island for Gamestop customers. Gamestop pre-orders will come with a token to redeem the Dead Island DLC pack, Bloodbath Arena, which has both a multiplayer and single player aspect and has a new weapon called the Brain Wave Bomb, of which no specific details have been released. Bloodbath Arena pits players against endless waves of zombies, and have them survive as long as possible before they meet their demise at the hands of the horde. Any experience from the DLC will be carried over to the main game.

For players who don't want to pre-order, the DLC pack will be priced at $10 when it comes out.

Dead Island is slated for release on August 1, 2011 for PC, 360, and PS3.

Heh, why not make cash if you can?

They already know people are going to want to buy Dead Island, hopefully this will just attract more people to preorder.

Its a beautiful game, feels more realistic then the other Zombie games out in the market.

That and the free DLC for pre-ordering is really starting to get shallow, just because one developer does it doesn't mean all should do it.

Honestly I don't understand why they're only doing this for Gamestop unless they gave them a really good deal as a retailer or something...
