It probably seems like trivial news to report that Arkham City is going to have a new game+ mode. You're probably thinking, "No fucking duh, Cat. Most games DO have this thing, including the games predecessor. Obviously, Arkham City is going to be doing the same thing."

Well, yes. But instead of just being able to just keep all of the cool stuff you've kept after a play through on the normal or hard setting, you're going to have a tougher time on the second play through. Most game+ modes usually are kept at the same difficulty, so your beefed up, overpowered character can slaughter through levels with weakened characters in no time.

I know, playing through a game slaughtering people left and right is pretty fun, but it does get old after a while. I think it's refreshing to see Rocksteady at least trying to make the second play through somewhat worthwhile. Your enemies won't have counter icons and they'll be more challenging from the start. Boss fights will be much, much harder.

Only thing that bugs me is that new game+ is going to be the same difficulty, whether or not you finished the game on normal or hard. Does this mean it'll be some lukewarm in-between level that doesn't pair up to hard? Or is this game going to be ultra, ultra, ultra hard mode?

would be awesome to have that before finishing imo.. However it is always good to see game devs throwing in an extra perk for games that will keep you hooked or that make it good for more than one PT

Sounds interesting, but I really don't think it'll catch too many people's interest.  I'm sure a decent amount of people won't care about this mode. Sad
