You read that right.

The same country that banned games like Fallout 3 for "drug use" (until developers agreed to change morphine to stimpaks) is now supporting the very industry that it constantly harps on with a $1.9 billion tax break.

Australia's video game industry has been tanking recently, which I would consider unsurprising, since I'm sure you wouldn't have much of a chance with creative development with the Australian review board breathing down your neck, constantly making amendments so that your war shooter is replaced with sunshine and puppy dogs.

They only complicate things even more, first they ban a game, they they release it with a "gore filter" they they restrict that dummed down game to 18+, to be honest, I couldnt care much for a confused government. They only make simple things complicated and then react as if they dont understand any of that.
