Hey Everyone
I just wanted to make this post, because I'm starting to feel a bit annoyed about one of the giveaways that I happened to win. It was one about 2 months, where you were supposed to post a comment on a video, and you could win either Black Ops or Homefront. (For the PC of course) So after the contest was over, and  I found out I won. I also sent in a email with my shipping information, although that was about 2 weeks later.
It's been over 2 months now, and Killjoy says he sent it about 3-4 weeks ago. (Might have gotten the time wrong)
And it just seems very weird to me, how it can take over 2 months to just sent a game from USA to Denmark, where I live. And if I haven't said it yet, I still do not have the game. I know he had to wait to get the game from his sponsors, but still, that was over 4 weeks ago. If I'm not mistaken, you can get mail from USA to Denmark within a day or so, being the quickest possible travel time.

But what I really think is strange, is that I asked Killjoy to sent me the CD-key for the game, so I could activate it on Steam and start playing it faster. (This was about 3-4 weeks after the contest was over, and it was about that time Killjoy received a retail copy of Homefront from the Pug Gaming sponsors) So I get the key, and try to activate it on Steam. It doesn't work. I have even tried contacting Steam Support, and by their recommendation, THQ support. Now THQ support answered, after about 2 weeks, like this: "The key you listed does not fit the key scheme for Homefront." Now sorry for the bad language, but what the fuck!?!?!? I just do not get it, since Killjoy says that he checked the multiple times. And that he was 100% sure that the key was correct. Now he might have gotten something wrong, but that it doesn't fit the CD-key scheme for the game, seems like it wasn't even a Homefront key he sent me. Just my thoughts.

So overall, I have really just lost the hope, that the game will arrive someday in the next month or maybe later. But I just do not get why it takes so long, has anyone else won something from Pug Gaming and got the price about 3-4 months after the contest ended? I would really like to know.
Sorry for the long post, I just had a lot of things I needed to say.

First, a retail copy cannot be activated on Steam. It says so on the Steam criteria about game activation.

Secondly, should the game be lost in the mail, I don't think that PUG is responsible.

Third, if the package was couriered, get the courier number and package code and check to see if the package is still with them or has been lost.

And lastly, if the package is lost, co-ordinate with Killjoy to send you another copy(if they can) and then track the courier all the way until it reaches you, post is not safe sometimes and they lose stuff, instead ask them to courier it and be willing to pay the courier charges, this ensures that you get the package.

I don't mean to come on strong, but this can be resolved asap, provided you know what to do next.

Well, looking on the Steam support page, under the topic about activating games on Steam via the CD-key, it says that the CD-key can be found inside the retail box. It doesn't say anything about not being able to activate Retail games on steam. (Read it here: http://bit.ly/kIhCQt)

And I do not know if the package has been lost somewhere, so that might be something to look into.

But thanks for your reply K1eaner.

That portion is only for Valve games mate, take it if you buy the Orange Box or  Portal 2 or any of the Left 4 Dead games, you can buy them retail and activate the key on Steam, that is because these are games developed by Valve and so is Steam. Retail activation on Steam is ONLY limited to Valve games mate.

I tried activating my BC2 and other such games, got a message from Valve asking me to stop dicking about with retail keys of other developers.

Heck mate, Since BC2 is a game by EA, I even tried activating it on EADM...no work buddy. Retail copies are retail. Only Valve gives you the flexibility because it has Steam as a platform for D2D services. Cheers mate.

Hmm, okay. Sounds a bit weird when I think about the Steam Support post, but I guess I believe you.
Thanks

It took poubels mouse to 3 weeks to get to brazil.  see this photo http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/190210_186688188042465_145509732160311_526056_1264598_n.jpg

However you have your time frame VERY wrong on when it was shipped out. It was shipped out a little over 2 weeks ago. Not 2 months ago.

I cant help but understand and how i should feel if you are pissed that you have not gotten something you won by simply posting a comment on a video. Or if you are tryin to say that i lied to you and havent sent anything out at all?

I am sorry if you are not happy with how things run but i am not god nor anything else other than human. I also do not own a shipping company in which i can hand deliver your item to you. I ship EVERYTHING via the USPS. UNITED STATED POSTAL SERVICE. As this is the CHEAPEST method for us to send things out. They do not AIR mail packages they use boats or smal air craft. Meaning it takes LONGER to get your package than if i paid about 75 bucks to send you something you got FREE via UPS.

It took me 9 weeks to get something shipped to me from amazon once. You should have seen me raging lol.

Don't forget it has to go through customs and get shipped and all that. Its crossing a bunch of national borders. You can't do that with ease.

It happens man, When Killjoy sent out the stikers and stuff, I checked my postal service, the said nothing came in for me. Stuff either gets taken by someone who believes they should have it, or someone just wasn't doing their job right.

Nope, Postal service said nothing never came in, and I've been checking it ever since. I think someone took it from the inside (which normally happens here if it's something awesome).

Talk to customs.  they may take the shit, and it'll never get to you.  Or they just may be holding on to it for a reallllyyy long time and it'll get there eventually.  customs can be a real dick so just give it time... if it never comes in well... at least you didn't pay for it :/

I hope it arrives soon, and quickly to Killjoys post:
I said in my post that I WON the contest about 4 months ago, and that the package was sent 3-4 weeks ago, I didn't know the exact times. And you could have told me you were shipping it by sea/USPS, then I could have figured out it would take a bit longer Smiley.

And I know I'm not supposed to complain about it, I was just really annoyed at the time I made this post, I think I just need to cool off or something.
