I was just thinking, since battlefield is top of the line on graphics, how well can you run it? Unfortunately, while my laptop is really good for most games, BF3 has been the hardest to run for me. I kind of feel embarrassed by how bad it runs, but I plan on making a full fledged gaming computer soon anyways. Back on topic, so how well can you run it?

I've generally been running it in about 800 x 600 and all settings low but textures (ultra) and averaging 35-40 fps. (Total garbage)

(I haven't posted anything in FOREVER, been busy with school. I hope to be more active now though.)

my default settings are between mid and high, and 40fps is fine, you wont notice anything under 24fps...on default i average about 45-50fps, i can run it on ultra no problem, but if its a big map sometimes screen will flicker and my fps is usually 25-30, if im playing it all day ( on ultra) it will sometimes close down, i think that is because it cant handle it.... my gpu doesnt overheat though, im just guessing this is the problem :/

I've just tested BF3 with a few different settings. It seems like on a big conquest map, 64 players, I can run the game on ultra with a resolution of 1680x1050 with about 40-60fps. And with a setting lowered to high, and stuff like AA toned down, I can run the game about 55-70fps.
I also tried the lowest graphical setting and resolution possible, got a fps steady at 90-100 Cheesy

Overall, my PC can run the game pretty well Smiley

1920x1080 on ultra, just turned off anti-aliasing.
Don't know the fps I have, but guess would be around 40-60.
