it's finally here, The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim Creation kit! For all of the modding people out there, you can go to the tools tap on Steam, and download the Creation Kit right away, 100% free of charge! And if you want to learn how to make mods with the kit, Bethesda will be releasing 10 videos explaining how to do it.

For those who just want to enjoy other peoples mods, go to the store page for Skyrim, and scroll down to the Steam Workshop picture, click on that, and you will be taking to the Steam Workshop page for Skyrim. (No mods yet sadly  *sadface*)

And for people who think that Skyrim looks too low resolution, and boring, you can right now from the Steam store page, download a free HD texture pack for the game! Although beware, you will need a more powerful system to run the game with the HD textures!

So for all of those Skyrim mod fans, the fun has begun! Cheesy

Also a little note for people who do not own Skyrim yet, it's off this midweek! So, what are you waiting for, go buy it! As Phillip J. Fry would have said:

xx Indie Bundles GALORE!
February 04, 2012, 08:17:31 PM by taylynne | Views: 94 | Comments: 2

There are so many bundles.  There have been countless bundles.  Many that don't come with steam key codes, and a few that do.  And a lot of gamers look for bundles that include the steam keys, because a majority of them have steam and prefer to keep their games all in one area.  And steam is a good updater, much better than having to go look for it on your own and keep up to date with every one of the games you play or own...  Here are some that are out now, or will be released with in the next two weeks, that will include steam keys!

Firstly, as I've posted before, the humble bundle is out now!  It is for the android, pc, linux, and mac!  Comes with steam keys for three (or four games if you payed more than average!) and soundtracks for each game.  As a refresher the games are as follows: Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, Edge, and (above average) World of Goo.  You can purchase here

Next, we have the indie gala!  I've never mentioned this one when it first came out, but... here's the second one!  With the option to get the first one along with it.  Now this bundle is a bit confusing.  At least, it sort of is for me.  But one thing that's cool about it, is that it comes with music!  The first bundle came with some music by The Flashbulb, whom I enjoy.  This bundle, like HIB, supports charity.  The two charities they support are Child's Play and Save the Children.

The games that are available here are:

The Carebear Bundle
If you pay anywhere between 1$ and 5.50$ you get:
  • Critical Mass
  • Fortix 2
  • Bunch of Heroes
You also get the following albums: Skitter EP, Comfort, and Beautiful EP.

The Big Saver Bundle
If you pay anywhere between 5.51$ and 9.63$ you get:
  • Critical Mass
  • Fortix 2
  • Bunch of Heroes
  • Roboblitz
  • Greed corp
You also get the following albums:  Skitter EP, Comfort, Beautiful EP, Square, Thank You, and Fit the Paradigm.

The Epic Gala Bundle
If you pay 9.64$ or more, you get 11 games and 7 albums.  6 of the games are from the first Gala Bundle, and the eleven games are as follows:
  • Critical Mass
  • Fortix 2
  • Bunch of Heroes
  • Roboblitz
  • Greed corp
  • Zombie Shooter
  • Zombie Shooter 2
  • Your doodles are bugged
  • InMomentum
  • Hacker Evolution: Duality
  • Hacker Evolution: Untold
The albums are:  Skitter EP, Comfort, Beautiful EP, Square, Thank You, Fit the Paradigm, and Doodads.

You may also gift this bundle to friends, getting not only a discount for purchasing more at one time, but also receiving bonus content!  This bundle is ending soon, so pick up as soon as you can if you're interested!

Once again, we see the face of Indie Royale.  They've recently finished their bundle for serious sam, which I didn't make a post on.  However, they're having the valentines bundle next:

You will be able to preorder this bundle soon enough, but as of now... there's not much information on it.  That I know of at least.  I'll update it once I learn more and inform those who may wish to pre-order that it is available for pre-order..

EDIT:  More info and is now available for preorder @ 3.99$!

Quote
You can now blind pre-order Indie Royale's Valentine's Bundle at a recommended €/£/$10 or €/£/$5 USD contribution, and a minimum of $3.99 USD.

The games offered this time include a fantastical first-person action-adventure game (Steam for PC), an IGF-nominated puzzle adventure title (Steam for PC and Mac, Desura for PC and Linux, DRM-free PC, Mac and Linux download), a 'scorching' single and multiplayer arcade-strategy game (Steam for PC and Mac), and a world premiere on PC for a pair of retro RPG-defense games (Desura for PC, DRM-free PC download).

Those who optionally pre-order now will get game access as soon as the bundle launches, lock in the lowest price, and receive as a bonus One Life Left's eclectic 'Music To Play Games By Too' compilation, available for the first time ever digitally (this bonus is also available to those who pay more than the minimum price during the bundle.)

The Valentine's Bundle will launch fully later this week at $3.99 USD and up - watch our Twitter feed or Facebook page for immediate notice at launch time.

Here we have another bundle that includes music!  This one is released by yawma.net[/ur...

xx Humble Bundle.... for the android
January 31, 2012, 10:26:13 PM by taylynne | Views: 117 | Comments: 2

Another HIB, but this time they ... "spiced" it up.  Now you pay what you want for 3 games for the android (as well as pc/mac/linux).  If you pay above average, you'll also receive World of Goo.

The games that will come are
  • Anomaly: Warzone Earthr
  • Edge
  • Osmos
  • World of Goo if you pay above average!

I think it's pretty interesting that they're releasing on phones now... however I have iphone Sad I'd like to see it for iOS/itunes!

Anyway, purchase here!  Like normal, you can split where you want the money.  And some goes to charity: Childs Play and EFF.  I would rather red cross or something on there, but... that's fine I suppose!

EDIT:

if you want steam keys make sure to pay at least a dollar!

Warning! Please note that orders under $1 are not eligible to redeem Steam keys to prevent abuse. If you are planning on adding your Humble Bundle games to your Steam library, please increase your order amount.
